The Fragulho brand was born from a working philosophy of tradition and respect for nature, aimed for sustainability.Located in Cheires, a village in the Douro Valley, Casa dos Lagares - which has belonged to the Vilela Morais family since the seventeenth century - is the "home" of Fragulho wine and of approximately 18 hectares of the property’s vineyards that encompass the Quinta da Silva, Quinta dos Azeredos, Quinta de Cheires and Fragulho."
It was the 90s when the Parish of Vila Garcia, Municipality of Amarante, was given the title of "Pilot Parish of the Vinhos Verdes Region", which encouraged, with greater force, the need to build a legacy.Thus, in 1992, the Teixeira family had the audacity to create the old winery, known today as Quintas de Vila Garcia. With this legacy and knowledge of those who do things and know how to do them well, we maintained the mission and vision by applying all the knowledge and innovation, combined with knowing how to observe and improve, respecting values, life and nature.These are the purposes of everything we do to achieve distinct and quality wines, thus expressing the best that our region has to offer:
Maubec - DOMAINE VAL DE COMBRÈS
Artisan winemaker, producing organic, natural, sulfite-free wines using indigenous yeasts.Established in 2013 on 7 hectares, the cultivation is organic and biodynamic with animal traction.
This young brewery truly lives its beer through and through. The family business built around Markus Hoppe is growing constantly and enriches the Alpine foothills with both traditional and creative beers.Committed to progress and innovation, the team is hard at work every day to achieve the highest quality and to continuously create exciting new beers. Their common aim is quite simply to brew outstanding beers - and to share them with their customers. Direct contact in this exchange is extremely important. Guests to 'Hoppebräus Zapferei' can look right into the heart of the brewery as they relax in our tap house and savour their beer, or can join a guided tour through the brewery and learn all about the production of these complex beverages.It's about transparency, craftsmanship, the people behind the product and the way we work together.
